PETARC is a full- fledged training center of KSEBL imparting technical as well as management training to the officers of KSE Board Ltd. We feel proud to announce that this center has got national recognition from the Central Electricity Authority as a category 1 training institute. PETARC is located at Hydro Electric Power Campus, Moolamattom, Idukki, which is having two A/C lecture halls and one Conference hall with latest training aids, Computer Training facility, Library, Faculty room, Model Room, Model Park, Display room. It has a full-fledged hostel with 20 single rooms 10 double rooms and a Circuit House Annex containing 6 rooms with 3 beds each.

PETARC, Moolamattom has celebrated its silver jubilee on completion of 25 years of excellent service in training to the Officers and Engineers of Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd during the year 2014-2015. It started its humble journey in 1989 with a vision to promote the technical, managerial, administrative and personal skills of the employees, in tune with the emerging demands, needs and changes of the organization and consumers. The silver jubilee occasion has provided an opportunity to look back to the path through which the prestigious Centre treaded to transform to the present day PETARC, approved by CEA. This opportunity has been utilized for the exchange of ideas, conducting events with the active participation of all, thus made the occasion a memorable experience to all concerned. The former and present faculty members, who had rendered their remarkable services to PETARC, by sharing their knowledge and experience to the betterment of the services provided by KSEB Ltd, were felicitated at this juncture. PETARC has trained more than 17,000 officers during these 25 years.

The Silver Jubilee celebrations were inaugurated by Sri. M. Sivasankar IAS, Chairman and Managing Director of KSEB Ltd on 15.12.2014 with the following highlights.

All former Principals and Directors of PETARC were honored.
A Souvenir was released.
A Video CD on safety awareness was released.
A Photo Gallery was added to the PETARC Model Room.
Modified Computer Lab attached to PETARC
Long Term Statutory Training Programme on “Transmission as per CEA (Central Electricity Authority) was introduced.
Training for outside engineers started during the Jubilee Year.
CBIP & PETARC jointly conducted a National Seminar on “Power Transformer” at Ernakulam on 20th & 21st February 2015.
One day safety seminar was conducted at four Regional Power Training Institute at Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Thrissur & Kozhikode in connection with the silver jubilee.

RPTI Thiruvananthapuram

RPTI Thiruvananthapuram is located at Chackai, about 5 Km from the Central Railway Station and hardly 1km from the Airport, Thiruvananthapuram. It has one Air conditioned lecture hall with latest training aids, Computer training facility, Model room, Library, Dining hall.

RPTI Kottayam

RPTI Kottayam is located at Pallom, about 6 km from the Kottayam Railway station. It has two A/C lecture halls with latest training aids, Computer training facility, Model Room, Library, Hostel facility with six rooms, Dining hall etc.,

Southern Region Computer Training Center (SRCTC) is located at 3rd floor, Vydyuthi Bhavanam, Thiruvananthapuram. It has one A/C lecture hall/Computer training facility with latest training aids. It is functioning under the control of the Executive Engineer, HRD Cell, Vydyuthi Bhavanam, Thiruvananthapuram.
