History of HRD

Training activities were streamlined in KSEBL with a starting of

• Line Man Training Center at Kottayam and at Thrissur in 1979.
• Line Man Training Center at Thiruvananthapuram and at Kozhikode in 1987.
• Power Engineers Training and Research Center (PETARC) at Moolamattom, Idukki in 1989.
• HRD Cell at Vydyuthi Bhavanam, Thiruvananthapuram in 1992.
• All Lineman Training Centers upgraded as Junior Executive Staff Training Centers (JESTC) in 1994.
• JESTC upgraded as Regional Power Training Institute (RPTI) in 2006.
• Southern Region Computer Training center (SRCTC) at Vydyuthi Bhavanam, Thiruvananthapuram in 2007.
